Orion the Hunter

Just thought you would like to get an update on Orion and our daughter. When Kaila was in 8th grade, we tried to sell Orion but had trouble because of a minor problem that kept arising on the vet checks. We decided to donate him to Oklahoma State University for the equestrian program. Kaila went on to have a very good jumping career. Just last year she was selected to compete in Germany for Team Texas and actually worked at a barn in Germany for 3 months last year. She eventually signed with Oklahoma State and is now a freshman on their equestrian team. If you google Kaila Nix you can see some of the articles on her.

Orion went on to have a great career at OSU! The first year there, they took him to Fresno State for the national championships and he was selected the outstanding horse. He is doing great and while they do not have him jumping anymore, he still competes in the flat events. If you log on to http://www.okstate.com/ and go to the Cowgirl Sports and click on the downloads and you can see Orion (two left socks)! He is treated like a king and we believe this was absolutely the best thing for him.

Kaila always said what a wonderful mind Orion had. He was truly bomb proof. We thank you again for having the faith to send us this wonderful horse!
